Hey, it's 2020! The year of Covid-19, the Trumpocalypse, and multiple very important protest marches and movements. I present this gallery of Protest-themed comic book covers from the late Silver and Early Bronze Ages of Comics not dismissively (although some of these are pretty dismissive), but as a historical flashback to the last time that protests were a big part of American culture. It's interesting to note that the seemingly apolitical Archie Comics dominates this list with a range of protest issues that go from farcical to serious (avoiding the Vietnam War and Civil Rights, sadly). But hey, at least they're more serious than that Batman cover! Sheesh!
